Final week of 21 day challenge

Below is a post I was supposed to have post on Thursday but forgot.

The food is becoming a little tiresome. I still get a few surprises throughout the day but it wasn't like it was in the beginning. I have quite some weight. I started out at 163.4 and now I am down to 157 (that was from last night). I will do a final weigh in on Sunday Morning.

During this process it was getting a little hard to do by eating every 2-3 hours because of my job. When I was off for a week my schedule was a little off due to the fact I got up later (usually get up at 6 am) and still went to be the normal time I do now (10:30pm ish sometime later and sometimes earlier).

My workout regimen  has changed a little. I didn't incorporate the insanity workout or the T25 workouts that's only because I am mentally and physically drained by the time I get off of work. I still did my camp gladiator workouts 2-3 times a week. I can say this, when i am doing those workouts I've notice I am pushing myself more and burning more calories than I usually do.

Overall, I can see some changes in my body by the way my clothes are fitting me and of course the scale. But visually, my legs are looking slimmer and my face does as well. I am upset with myself that I didn't take a before or after pic. I do plan on continuing this process until I reach my goal of 145. It has been such a journey for me to get under 160 and be under it for a few weeks not days.

For those who are interested in trying this out go ahead and find your nearest my fit foods location and speak to a nutrition coach you will be amazed with the results you will see.

Update:
I weighed myself on Saturday I was 155.8 and body fat was 38.5%. When I started I was 163.1 so that's a total of 7.3 pounds. I ending up gaining some weight during the beginning but I am pleased with the weight I lost. I am continuing this process to see if and when I will reach my goal of 145. That's just 10 more pounds to go. I know I can do it. If you have any questions or comments feel free to comment below.

2nd Week Done

Ok the second week is over and well I did 3 days of exercising. I ate my meals somewhat on time and clothes are fitting much better. So far, I am down 6 pounds and some inches. I didn’t do my measurements before but I can tell I lost some by the way the clothes are fitting me around my thighs.

Breakfast
The MFF cocktail is going down a lot faster I guess it’s because I have got used to drinking it every day now and the vitamins are going down faster too. I have repeated some of the breakfasts this week but they still taste good. I'm still excited to see what I am going to eat the next day.

Snacks
This week they added a few different snacks like the strawberry chocolate parfait. I really liked this. It has been a while since I really had anything sweet like this but I did like it. I also ate some chicken jerky and it was good too.

Lunch
I had a few new items to eat this week, they were good, and I noticed that during this process I haven’t really been eating many carbs.

Dinner
The foods are good and I did do one cheat meal this week. It was on Sunday and I noticed when I made my plate, I didn’t put that much food on my plate and I kept with eating healthy. I had sweet potatoes and corn and some ribs, I barely even eat all of that.

Water
I am still struggling with the water intake but I am drinking more than I use to.

Exercise
This week I went running/walking around my neighborhood park for 3 miles and I did 2 days of boot camp. I have noticed that I am burning more calories than I have previously when I work out. Eating differently has increased my energy to push more and do more when it comes to working out. I continue to surprise myself.

I have one more week left of this challenge and I am thinking about continuing this meal planning service a little longer because I do enjoy not having to cook anything and all I have to do is grab and go. Like I said in my first entry my total weight loss is to lose a total of 20 lbs. and for this challenge, I wanted to lose at least 3-6 pounds, so far, I have met that goal and possibly can exceed it too.

Week 1 done

Well week one is finished and I must say drinking that My Fit Foods Cocktail doesn’t taste so bad after all. I guess after the 3rd day, I was able to gulp down the cocktail in no time. The food I was given this past week was good. One day I did step on the scale even though I wasn’t planning to but I saw that I gained one pound but I do believe it was due to the timing I was weighing myself. I weighed myself late in the day but it was just one pound. I did weigh myself Saturday morning before I ate breakfast and I was a pound, less than what I was when I started this 21-day challenge. Before I weighed myself, I knew I had lost some inches because my clothes are fitting a little different. I probably would have lost more if I had worked out more. Since I mention that I usually do Camp Gladiator, this past week was my off week from working out starting next week is the start of a new camp. I hope that next week the numbers of pounds will change. I would admit that this last week I was being lazy when it came to working out. I was just trying to get a hang of eating more often than before and taking in more water than I usually do. Below are a few pictures of the food I ate last week.

Lemon Turkey

Pumpkin Spice Oatbake...surprisingly good

Almond Crusted Chicken

Turkey Pasta

Beef fit up...good

Day 2 and 3 review

Well, today marks day three of My Fit Foods Challenge. Yesterday morning started like Sunday. I woke up and took the My Fit Foods cocktail that consisted of cranberry juice, lemon, apple cider vinegar and the B-12. I must say it still taste weird but this time I didn’t feel as sick as I did Sunday. I figured out that I must do as most children do when they have to take cough medicine…Pinch my nose and gulp it down. After that, it was time to take those vitamins 9 of them. I still can’t believe I was able to swallow all of them. I have never really been a pill person if they had a chew-able I would take it. Any way I was trying increase my water intake and I did pretty well but I didn’t reach the goal of 2.5 liters I did drink one liter and about 10 oz. The rest of the day was ok; I found myself walking more only because I was drinking more water and we all know what that leads to…more bathroom breaks. The rest of the day the food was good I was still a little hungry after dinner only because I did work out with camp gladiator. Below you will see the food I ate for the day (except for Mondays lunch) and Sundays dinner.

Sundays Dinner

Mondays Breakfast

Morning Snack....MMMM Good

Afternoon snack

Mondays Dinner

Workout
As for my workout yesterday, we mainly focused on lower body and arms. I can barely walk today. I know doing squats will make my behind look very good for the summer. So I won’t complain too much. It was an hour worth of working out and I burned 616 kcals, not bad for someone who had injured her wrist a few weeks ago.

Breakfast
This morning for day 3, I had “Good Morning Sunshine” this consisted of spicy ground turkey served over eggs and rice topped with pico de gallo and cheese. It was pretty good but I think they should change the cheese because it didn’t taste quite right when I was eating some of it. Now it’s time for my morning snack. I am not quite hungry but I have to eat so I am eating the protein pack. This kind of reminds me of the Starbucks protein pack but with less calories. As I am writing this, I find myself not being able to finish this morning snack. Any other time I would have finished this and then some. The rest of the day will consist of me eating lemon turkey for lunch, BBQ chips for afternoon snack and for dinner “Killuh chili.”
Tues. Breakfast

Tues. Morning Snack

Water intake
I am currently behind on drinking water. I need to pick it up or I won’t reach my goal for the day of 2.5 liters.

Overall

So far, I am feeling the energy from the morning cocktail and I am sleeping well. I can’t say I am losing any weight because I don’t plan to hop on the scale until Sunday. However, I can say this my clothes are not fitting as snug as they did before. I could be losing some water weight that makes me lose some inches but we shall see by this Sunday.

Day one of week one

I had my consultation with the nutrition couch for My Fit Foods yesterday. When I got there, the place was empty and I walked in and was somewhat surprised because no one was in there. I was about 20 minutes early for my appointment but they were eager to get started. During the consultation, we discussed what my goals were and what the program entitles. My nutrition coach name is Jennifer, she seems like a real nice person, and she understood everything what I was trying to do. The program seems easy to follow but the only issue I have is the price and where My Fit Foods is located from my house (which is a 35-45 minute drive depending on traffic). For 3 weeks, this program will cost you a good grip so I advise you to be extremely serious about this and try to make this work or it will be as if you are throwing money down the drain. With the consultation out the way, I did decide to go along with this process. Jennifer emailed me my meal plan for the next 3 weeks and it seems like the food will be good. Below I am commenting on my opinion of the food I ate today.

Breakfast
This morning I had breakfast tacos and I must say it is spicy. I wanted to take a picture of it but I was hungry this morning. But before that when I woke up I had to take a My Fit Food cocktail that included apple cider vinegar, b-12 supplement, cranberry juice and lemon. That cocktail is very tart and truthfully hard to swallow. I just hope that during these next few weeks I will get accustom to the taste. I also had to take some vitamins that came with the lean pack (vitamins that aide in losing weight) and Venus (a multivitamin pack designed for women) pack. That’s 9 vitamins for both packs. If you have any questions about the vitamins that are included in either one of these packs just leave a comment below.

Morning Snack
For my morning snack, I had the Chicken Fruit bowl. This snack was really good. I enjoyed eating this. I was eating this on my way back from visiting my brother. This snack is something I can see myself eating even after this challenge. The snack had small chicken cut up in cubes; it had grapes, a slice of grapefruit, a slice of orange and some walnut halves. I really hate it that it was gone.

Lunch
As for lunch, I had Spinach & Chicken Enchiladas. This was ok but I guess I am used to eating Tex-Mex since I live here in Texas and it’s usually made with plenty of salt. I wanted to add some salt to it but I know I can’t so I ate it as I was supposed to. I know if I continue this, I wouldn’t be missing the salt. During this lunch, I had to take those vitamins again. That’s 18 vitamins for the day.

Afternoon Snack

I had a small snack for my afternoon snack. It was Think Thins Lean and Protein Fiber Bar Chocolate Almond Brownie and I can honestly say I wasn’t really hungry but I have to follow this meal plan if I want to see some kind of results.

Dinner

I haven’t had dinner yet that’s only because I am behind schedule due to my traveling earlier today. But what is scheduled for me to eat is Besto Pesto. Below is a picture of this meal.

Water Intake
I was told that I needed to drink at least five 16.9 oz of water is basically 2.5 liters of water. I am struggling with this because I don't drink water like that. I do well if I can down one liter of water a day. That's a lot of water but I'm going to make it I know I will.

Starting of something new

This Saturday coming up (March 5), I am meeting with a nutrition coach from My Fit Foods. I have tried many things before but nothing seems to work well for me. I have tried workout plans that had their own nutrition plan built in the program, Nutrisystem, and alkaline diet (it worked but as soon as I stopped eating like that the weight came back with a vengeance). I even tried to do my own meal preps but I may do well for the first 3 days and then when the rest of week I fail drastically. I hope that this will help me drop a few pounds and get me started on this weight loss journey again. I am currently working out 2-3 days a week by doing a boot camp called Camp gladiator. During these 21 days, I will be posting my thoughts and opinions on the food, my mood, and the exercises I will be doing.

Why am I doing this?
Over the past year, I have noticed my weight slowly going up. At first I thought, well maybe it’s because I am in a new relationship or could be the meds I have been taking. Well it couldn’t be the new relationship because we don’t go out to eat, all we do is sit at his place and watch movies and chill. The meds isn’t the issue because I stopped taking them for a few months to reset my body and I didn’t drop any weight from that. So, it all leads up to my eating habits. I find myself eating at odd times and eating too much of whatever it is I choose to eat. I have notice at work I tend to go and get fast food more. I only get a 30-minute break for lunch; I’m not able to enjoy my food. I am downing my food as if someone is going to take it away from me. I tried to do the meal prep cook enough for 3 days and on the 3rd day cook again but life gets in the way and I don’t get the chance to prep like I want to. This time around, I am planning to stick with this for 21 days and follow what they suggest for me to do.

Expectations
Truthfully, I do hope I am able to lose some weight. Since I went online and set up for them to contact me so I can schedule a consultation with the nutrition coach, the guy I spoke with name Jacob did answer a few of my questions but I know I will have more for him coming tomorrow. One of the questions I asked was on average how much weight does a person usually loses. He said anywhere between 8-12 pounds in the 3 weeks. I am a little skeptical because I did some searching and the few blogs and reviews I found some say they lost way less than that. I do understand each person is different and some may lose more or less than others. My overall goal for my weight loss journey is to lose and never find again 20lbs over the next six months. During this 3 week process I would like to at least drop anywhere between 3-6 pounds which is about right if I lose 1-2 lbs. per week. I believe I can do this I just need to remind myself that I can.

Type of workouts
As stated before I currently do and outdoor boot camp called camp gladiator and no I am not a trainer or do I work for the company. I have been doing this for almost 2 years now. I can honestly say I know the workouts are working because I have gotten stronger and faster. If you are interested in learning more about CG let me know in the comments and I will gladly give your more information about it. Every day is a different kind of workout but each week has a theme: Week 1: Endurance Week Week 2: Fundamental Week 3: HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) Week Week 4: METCON (Metabolic Conditioning) Week Well I will come back with what was discussed between me and my nutrition coach and should start my program Sunday March 6. Until then....
